This past week has seen an artic blast move into our region. Wind Chills across the Commonwealth have been in the negatives across the state. This cold has kept the snow pack from last weekend’s storm in place.

We are expecting the cold to continue throughout the day. Wind chills across the state are expected to reach -20 in much of the state. Clouds are expected to cover the majority of the state.

Temperatures will not get any warmer as conditions will remain frigid throughout the weekend. We are also watching the threat of snow for the southeast of the state on Saturday into Sunday. Conditions will improve slightly as we get into the new week.

After a winter storm impacted the Commonwealth over the weekend, a large accumulation of snow remains on the ground. Conditions remain blustery to start the week, as overnight lows remain in the single digits. A few lake effect snow bands also moved through the region on Monday night.

Well below average temperatures will persist across Pennsylvania for today. It will be cloudy throughout the day and night. Windy conditions will put feels like temperatures sub-zero during the overnight hours.

Temperatures will continue to drop, with feels like conditions remaining near or below sub-zero. Mostly cloudy skies will persist across the Commonwealth, so make sure to bundle up as you head outside.

After a cold stretch and some snow, temperatures have increased this morning close to freezing, with mainly sunny skies. However, these conditions won’t last, as another cold snap will arrive tomorrow. Wind chills will drop well below 0 with temperatures lingering around 0.

Heading into this weekend, we are expecting a major snowstorm to impact the entire state, with dry and fluffier snow. Snowfall will last into Sunday night, and a few lingering snow showers are possible into Monday morning as the storm exits to the northeast. After that, the cold remains with partly cloudy skies into midweek.

It has been very chilly recently with average temperatures in 20s for much of the Commonwealth this past weekend. In the northern tier, some locations even experienced single-digits in the overnight hours and teens in the central to southern half of the state. On Monday, the Northwestern portion of the state experienced some snowy conditions as a smaller system made its way across the area.

For this week, those chilly trends will continue, with the average lows in the mid-20s and highs in the mid-30s. Tonight, a system will start to head into our area creating a chance of precipitation throughout the Commonwealth on Wednesday. Areas in the northern half of the state as well as the higher elevations will experience mostly snow, whereas lower elevations and more southern regions will most likely experience a mix of precipitation. This system should clear out of our area early Thursday morning leading to a mostly cloudy day.

Heading into the weekend, another small system will come into our area from the west creating chances of snow on Friday, as well as possibly on Saturday and Sunday.

The Commonwealth saw its first plowable snowfall on Tuesday, with most of the Commonwealth seeing 2-6″ of snow. The past few days have been cloudy and cold, and temperatures will continue to drop heading into tonight.

Temperatures are looking to drop into the single-digits and teens tonight as frigid air invades from the north. Expect cloud coverage to increase throughout the day on Friday.

Expect skies to remain mostly cloudy over the weekend, as a clipper system moves into the area late on Sunday bringing snow and rain to parts of Pennsylvania. After that, expect a break from precipitation on Monday before another system moves in on Tuesday.
