CWS Forecast: Laurel Highlands
Following a bout of severe weather across the Northern and Western portions of the state on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, a few showers moved through the southern portions of the Commonwealth Thursday afternoon and evening. In the wake of a cold front, cooler and drier conditions are expected across the Commonwealth on Friday, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s. Saturday will bring more rain across much of the state. This rain will linger into Sunday morning across the Eastern portions of the Commonwealth, giving way to a pleasantly dry day besides a few showers in the Erie vicinity throughout the evening. Cooler conditions are expected to return on Monday with a few showers possible throughout the central portion of the State. Above average temperatures are expected across the western portions of the Commonwealth on Tuesday, with highs reaching into the mid-to-upper 80s. A cold front is expected to make its way through the region by mid week, bringing more rain across much of the state.
