Cooler conditions are expected to remain in place across the Commonwealth through the end of the week. Wednesday saw high and humid temperatures with showers and storms overnight. Multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms rolled through from Northwest to Southeast, spreading heavy rain, plentiful lightning, and strong gusty winds. Not much rainfall fell in Centre county with state college recording 0.14 inches of rain.

Stepping outside for Thursday will feel humid as we have elevated dew points. There is a low chance for precipitation throughout the day but a stray shower can not be ruled out. Temperatures will drop into the evening with the low temperatures in the high 50s.

During the morning hours of Friday we will continue to have muggy conditions with relative humidity values being in the low to mid 90s. We will have overall cooler conditions which is a nice break from the past few days and humidity values will slowly tapering off into the evening hours. On Saturday we can expect showers throughout the day with temperatures in the mid 70s.
