Beautiful Weekend in Store

We have experienced an active pattern over the Commonwealth throughout the past several days. Severe weather has impacted many parts of the state including a near-record high for the daily amount of precipitation in September for State College. Heat and humidity have also been prevalent throughout Pennsylvania, and that will continue throughout today.

For today expect high temperatures in the lower 80s along with muggy dew points in the lower 70s. Even though parts of southwestern PA could deal with showers and thunderstorms today, the majority of the state will remain dry. As we head into the overnight hours, the dew points will decrease, leading to more comfortable conditions for this weekend.

For tomorrow, it is looking like a beautiful day for the Penn State football game against Marshall. Lower temperatures accompanied by lower humidity will create for nice conditions for the game and for the latter part of the weekend.
