| Cloudy skies will continue to push into the region today along with some snow flurries through the western portions of the state. Temperatures will also remain cooler as the remnants of a low pressure system moves through the region. Expect to see conditions clear by late this afternoon allowing for sunshine to spill across much of the state. Clearing skies will persist overnight into Wednesday, but by the afternoon the winds will pick up as an approaching system begins to move into our region from the west. Expect significant lake effect snow to reach the northwestern counties by Thursday morning. Cloudy skies and snow showers will push across the central mountains on Thursday, however much of the east should remain fairly dry with cloudy skies. Brisk conditions will continue for the beginning of your weekend as skies begin to clear in the southern portions with some sunshine, however the northwest will continue to see cloudy skies and snow flurries as Saturday approaches.
