Pennsylvania Statewide Weather Summary:
Updated Thursday, July, 3rd 2008 1:07pm
Rain will continue to make their way into the state as a cold front approaches our region from northwest to southeast. Areas in the eastern portion of the state, especially the southeastern zone, could see some thunderstorms as the sun continues to shine in this area and the atmosphere continues to destabilize. As the front moves through the state, strong high pressure in the Atlantic will break the front's momentum causing it to stall through much of the weekend. This means that, while some areas away from the stalled front could see some partial clearing for your Independence Day, much of the state will see a few showers throughout the day, though it will likely not be a washout. As the front remains stalled on Saturday and an upper level disturbance pushes through our area, we could see a greater likelihood of showers and a few thunderstorms during the day on Saturday.
